MEDITE SMARTPLY will play a key role in the construction of COP26 House, a zero-carbon wood frame building built by Beyond Zero Homes. The project will showcase low-carbon, circular solutions in architecture and life during the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow from October 31st to November 12th.

The members of Beyond Zero Homes are united by a common goal that goes beyond zero carbon: to show how to develop beautiful, affordable, and healthy houses throughout their life cycle with minimal impact on the environment.

One-bedroom houses will be built on an area of ​​10m x 5m. It is specifically designed to use C16 spruce grown in the UK to avoid the need for imported wood. The building is based on a 1.2m grid, which is easy to panel and prefabricate. These elements comply with SMARTPLY OSB specifications, are produced sustainably in Ireland and have been stored throughout the UK.
