Corrigan OSB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Martco LLC. in Texas. Martco LLC. is part of RoyOMartin Corporation, which is a wood products manufacturer and wood management company headquartered in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Governor Greg Abbott spoke about the expansion of Corrigan's Corrigan OSB facility at a press conference on August 13.

"Made in Texas is a strong brand, and this new construction product factory in East Texas is the latest example of a strong economic recovery in Lone Star State," Abbott said. "Texas leads the nation and is the best place to live, work, support a family, and build a house. I thank Corrigan OSB for expanding its investment in Texas to meet the growing demand for building materials and to work hard. Of Texans create more jobs."

"I am very pleased to see that Corrigan OSB is considering expanding their operations in Polk County," Senator Robert Nichols said.

Compared with the 170 jobs created when the first Corrigan factory opened in 2018, the expanded factory is expected to create 50 new jobs.

"This is a very exciting time for Polk County," State Representative James White said.

RoyOMartin President and Chief Operating Manager E. Scott Poole said: "With this new OSB factory, we will be able to meet the backlog of high-quality construction products that are produced from our region's abundant renewable and sustainable resources."

The Texas Enterprise Fund provided $278,000 in grants for the project, including $3,000 using work bonus grants created by veterans.

"We recognize this trend, and we believe that most families ultimately want to have their own home in the United States," said Roy O Martin III, chairman, chief executive officer and chief financial officer of the company named after his last name. "That's why we want to expand—(its) future!" Martin concluded.

This announcement is certainly good news for Polk County, because they and the Corrigan-Camden Independent School District will benefit from the expansion of taxes and more people moving into the area. No date has been given when the construction of the plant will begin.
