Roof Deck Tape, manufactured by MFM Building Products, is a 40-mil, self-adhering waterproofing membrane to flash the seams on plywood and OSB roof deck panels. According to the manufacturer, the product is easy to use, features an embossed traction surface, and self-seals around common roofing fasteners. After the roof deck panels are sealed, the membrane can then be covered with saturated felt, synthetic or self-adhered roofing underlayment. To ensure a completely waterproof barrier, the membrane should be overlapped by 6″ on all end laps.
